  • Step One:  Shampoo

    1. Prepare the Client for Shampoo.

    2. Shampoo hair twice with Amazon Shine Deep Clean shampoo to remove any residue from the hair and roots. Do not use conditioner. Do not use Deep Clean shampoo after the Keratin treatment.

    3. First Application: apply the shampoo and rinse it out like normal.

    4. Second Application: apply the shampoo and leave it in the client’s hair for 5 minutes to open the cuticle before rinsing it out.

    5. Blow dry hair, without combing or brushing it, until 100% dry.

     

    Step Two:  Keratin

    1. Put on gloves.  Pour 2 ounces of the Amazon Shine Keratin Treatment into a bowl.

    2. Divide the hair in four sections as you would when applying colour.

    3. Apply the product section by section working from the nape of the neck to the top of the head.  Keep the brush away from the nape of the neck and avoid any contact with skin or eyes. Spread at a distance of 1.5 cms from the scalp then comb hair downward with a fine-toothed comb. NB: Make sure that NO product is applied directly to the scalp.

    4. Proceed with the process on the other sections of hair in the same manner.

     

    Step Three:  Straightening

    1. Blow dry hair using a flat, square brush.  Begin at the nape of the neck, drying hair from the bottom up, move to the sides of the head and finish with the front section. There is no need to concentrate on straightening the hair at this point, rather just on getting it 100% dry.

    2. Divide hair into four sections once again.  Use titanium straightening irons and allow to heat up to a temperature over 200◦ C.

    3. Begin at the nape of the neck and work with sections of hair measuring 2.5 cms each. Iron each section slowly and a minimum of 6 times before moving to the next section. The titanium straightening iron allows the keratin to penetrate each strand of hair, making it smooth, healthy and shiny. Once the current section is shiny and smooth, proceed to the next section.

     

    To Maximise the result of treatment we recommend Amazon Shine Keratin maintenance line. These products are free of sodium chloride and sulfates, and were specially formulated to prolong the effects of the keratin treatment.  The special formula treats the hair each time they are used, keeping hair healthy, manageable and shiny.

    Please advise the client that for the next 3 days they must not wash or wet their hair, use any styling products or tie their hair back.  Should their hair get wet, advise them to blow dry and straighten it with hair straighteners.
